The best advice which can be given to someone younger today is that just be yourself. Have your own way of working don’t try do things like others put your best foot forward and have your own signature style. Don’t take any burden and think that I am underperforming. As all the individuals are not the same. Just do your part and work hard to achieve your goals. There will be people ahead of you and some people will be there who will be behind you. The main thing is that you have to focus on your life.
When you are younger you have more chances of succeeding but to succeed in life you have to do something you are best at. Just identify what you are best at and move ahead with it. It is not a compulsion to become an engineer or a doctor. You can even become a musician if you are good with music. The main point in life is doing what you are good at and chances of getting success is high if you do something you are best at. A person if he is not enjoying his job and he is just doing it because somebody else told him to do it won’t succeed in that area.
The best thing is to sit down and think about what I am best at. Also talking with someone who is more experienced than you will help and it will help more if he is from that field in which you are interested. If you have your own unique style of doing things. It helps a lot just trying to do things like others will never help. You will lose your own way of working. A person succeeds and grows only when he takes things lightly and just takes his work easy. Working at a place should never become a burden because the day it becomes a burden the chances of leaving become really high.
Being cool and calm is the best policy to be followed when you are at work, or I will say that it is the best policy which should be followed everywhere. Taking rash decisions can be really harmful. The best way to succeed is to take big decisions when you are not in a hurry. Success also has different meaning for different people. Some people dream too big whereas there are others who are more satisfied and calmer. The basic point is that how much are you satisfied as an individual.
When you are younger you are more agile and that is time to make your life, but when that time is gone. You are just going to have regrets. So, to make your life better take decisions which are good for you. Think twice before taking any decision because that one decision can be a make it or a break it one. Never try to do things according to others. Taking advice is good but ultimately it should be your decision. Try making your future regret free and work in a manner so that you have lesser regrets.
So, the advice I will give to someone younger to me is that just stay cool, calm and try to enjoy your life. Just be yourself and make your own path in life. So that you succeed as an individual. As in the long run success matters the most.
